How we score compatibility
MyCompatibility uses deterministic, code-based models. The same canonical pair always receives the same six dimension scores and overall score; the models are guides for reflection, not predictions of relationship success.
One canonical pair, one result
We sort each pair alphabetically into one canonical URL and use that same slug as model input. Reversing the order therefore cannot create a different score. The small deterministic hash adjustment separates otherwise identical-looking pairings without introducing randomness.
Overall score is the rounded arithmetic mean of the six dimension scores.
Zodiac model
The Zodiac model begins with the signs’ angular relationship, then adjusts each dimension for element, modality and polarity interactions. Its six dimensions are love, communication, trust, emotions, values, sex.
Scores are constrained to 35–98. The aspect base scores are published in the model: 0: 72, 1: 58, 2: 84, 3: 50, 4: 90, 5: 54, 6: 74. The deterministic adjustment ranges from -4 to 4.
MBTI model
The MBTI model is a letter-axis heuristic. It compares E/I, S/N, T/F and J/P preferences; it does not claim to model cognitive functions. Its six dimensions are communication, emotional connection, conflict resolution, growth potential, daily life, work.
The base score is 60; scores are constrained to 40–97, with the same deterministic -4 to 4 adjustment range.
What the scores can and cannot say
A score describes patterns in this model, not a diagnosis, scientific measurement, or verdict about a relationship. Context, consent, communication, safety and individual choices matter more than a compatibility percentage.
Pair-page writing is grounded in the computed scores and checked against the published content library. It is produced with automation assistance and editorial quality checks by the MyCompatibility Editorial Team.
